DPFI to MPFI Swap Problem
HI Guys
I have been doing the DPFI to MPFI swap, but i have a problem. My ignition time dosnt fit at all. I have read about the two wires that i have changed from C1 to B10 and C2 to B12, if they get mixed up the ignition time will be severly retarded, but is that VERY VERY MUCH retarded or? Hope someone can helt me taht have doned the swap.

double and triple check ur wiring first of all. Is it starting, or just cranks away?? Are you getting spark? Check your firing order, start with the basics and work your way up. Check resistance for injectors, and watch your dizzy wiring because after the years, the colors fade and thats what happened to me. I got them mixed up and it wouldn't start or backfire a lot.
i runs fine, but at 4000-5000 it starts to "ignition knocking" .... when i want to adjust the ignition time i cant turn the distributor enough, i think i need 5mm maybe.
any codes?
i think its your crank positon sensor, you got it wired wrong. i forget which one it was, but my friends poor man's type r did the same thing cause the cps came loose,it woud run fine till 3500 and it would just stop
