Check engine while driving
for the past month or so everytime i take my car on the highway, at about 50-70% throttle and i hold it to keep at 70-80 mph, than about 10-15 minutes of it the check engine comes on. When i come to a complete stop, the car would have a boggy idle, but if i turn off the car, and turn it back on the next second, check engine is gone, car idles fine. Does anyone have a similar problem and know whats going on?. Cant really read codes while driving at such speeds soo im stumped. Thansk for any imput
If the ecu displays the CEL it should store the code in the ecu. Turn the key until the dash lights come on but don't start the car. Read the codes off the ecu and report back.
sounds like a code1 o2 sensor mine did the same exact thing then it just stopped doing it drove it to texas from michigan driving 70-80 never did it again the whole way....good luck with it
