I only bought 3 of those pepboys calendars because i thought it said buy 3 cases get 3 cases free..... but it said quarts... doh!
I have used all 3 of mine and it is only april.....and I need to change my oil soon.
Anyone have some extra's or know of an online place that sells Mobil 1 cheap?

walmart had the "older" Mobil 1 (pre- 15,000 mile garbage) on clearance for around $3 qt. It might be all gone by now, but worth a shot to go check.
If you have a Sams Club around you, you can get 6 quarts for about $24 I think. So along with your 5 gallons of mayo and 50lb bag of cereal you can get some reasonably cheap mobile 1
I bought 7 of the calenders and I am down to 2 coupons already. My plan of attack is to take my Pepboy's coupon into Wal-mart and have the price match it.

do you sell mobil 1? I have never used amsoil.
I probably don't want to pay much for shipping.
Can you quote me a price for a case (6 qts) of either mobil 1 or amsoil shipped to zip 17103 (business)? I get the honda-challenge discount.

What technical information do you have that the "new" Mobil 1 is "garbage"? Just curious. Here is some Mobil 1 "proganda" on the differences between the two

they only come 12 in a case
$72.60 a case....for either 5/30, 10/30, or 10/40

Not to knock Amsoil, but M1 is ~$45 for 12qt. I had to give up the RedLine crack habit becuase the $30 worth of oil in the motor per race weekend was a little much.
Since I change it after every weekend, ~200 miles, anyway, I don't think it matters much.

Viscosity indexes, flash points. Other factual information. Show me facts not opinion. I am not saying your are right or wrong. I would just like to see scientific fact rather than opinion.

I just think for >200 miles in a stockish motor, it really doesn't matter.

M1 is ~5 miles from the house at Wally World... and cheap.

I've seen tests of a ton of oils. To tell the truth, most like Redline as they carry the highest moly counts. The biggest issue that I have with Amsoil is that it gets THICKER as it picks up contaminants. This is the one reason why I won't run it, because I usually run a heavier weight (10w-30 or 0w-40) oil at the track and the last thing that I want is it thickening up.
Also, Mobil is the ONLY company that produces their own esters/PAO oils. All the others have to out source it just because Mobil ... is... well... huge. The new Mobil formulas don't have anything wrong with them, it's long been a "secret" that you CAN run 15000 mi on a good synthetic oil if you have an engine that's not too harsh on it. Heck, I run 9000 mi and my TBN's are still in the 7-9 range on Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic.
But anyway.. back to the topic of the post, the best places that I've seen are Walmart, Pepboys or Costco. Walmart will be around $3.99 / qt if you buy it in the 5 qt jug. Pepboys has the buy 3 get 3 free coupon in their calendar (There's NONE left in ANY pepboys within 50 miles of me) or they have their occasional $3.99 coupon in the paper. Costco is $3.99 all the time, but it's limited to 5w or 10w-30.

i gave in to the Ebay gawds...... i bought 10 coupons for $28 delivered..... that is $18 more than I would have spent had i purchased the calendars myself....... so i made someone else $18.00 richer but i am still saving $15 per coupon.....
it will cost me ~$18 (including price of coupons) for a case of 6 qts....
i can't justify spending $25-30.00 more for amsoil....i change it almost every weekend as well... my engine is mostly stock
