Default t1r catback + jdm 4-1 = what cat???

ive recently bought a t1r full catback and also got me a jdm 4-1, only problem is, i have no idea what cat to use. ive kinda been looking into it and i think im suppose to use a jdm length cat, which is 17inches? 17inches from flange to flange. I think the us is 12inches long, correct me if im wrong.

so my question is, do i use the 17inch cat or the 12inch cat? also who sells the 2.5inch donut collector gasket? thanks in advance

FYI: are you refering to the orange ones? if so, T1R and Type One are not the same company

so a breakdown of the lengths of each piece

t1r catback = stock exhaust (both are the same length correct?)

jdm header > us header (jdm header is longer, correct?)

jdm cat > us cat ( jdm cat is longer, 17in vs 12in, correct?)

then if thats all true, it don tmake sense. what am i missing here?

I run the same h/e combo. I just bought a Vibrant cat from the shop that did my install for like $80CAD. They welded the 2.5 inch flanges onto either end and I'm good to go. Not sure what size the cat is though. Will be getting a T1R test pipe once I go OBD1 for Hondata.

No, cause the stock cat flanges are to small.

Contact SMSP. I run your exact setup but use a custom 2.5" carsound cat from smsp . Never had any problems and have passed emissions w/ flying colors

I have the same thing. Just a carsound cat and took it to a local muffler guy who made it fit. Been working great.
