Actually Titanium is surprisingly not that expensive. It is the 4th most common elemental metal in the earth's crust. A six foot long 1" diameter bar is about $250 canadian. So about sixty cents american...
Seriously, about $150US for a bar that size so the Ti in a shift **** shouldn't be more than $10...

You're 100% correct. I believe the cost of Ti parts comes from the fact that it's difficult to work with (it's hard stuff to try and machine). I could be wrong though!
List price on the faux titanium **** is indeed US$200.
List price on the GS-R shift ****, which is not cold in winter, not hot in summer, and conforms better with the grip of your hand, is US$35 or so.

Are you trying to make a point or something?

I was just clownin...
Your point about the function over form of the gsr **** was interesting. Type-R owners are often fronting the superiority of their cars, but when it comes to shift *****, the gsr owners are putting the whoop on them.

Do you think that Acura prices the ITR **** very high because its OEM Type R or is there something really special about the ****?
What is the difference in material used between the RSX 5spd accessory **** and the ITR 00-01 ****? They look very similar, yet the difference is almost $150.

The diff is the material. I'm not saying it costs Honda that much for the **** (Ti) but, they charge us that much. Yes, it's all Titanium...solid for type r (I've seen the drawing)...and the Rsx one is aluminum.
It's SOLID TITANIUM!...settled.
