I just put a b16a in my 89 dx hatch and I have no spark, no fuel, but it does crank. can anyone tell me if I need an injector resister box? or what I do need cause I'm at the end of my rope.

 

Assuming the wiring is correct and in the MPFI configuration,

No spark,no fuel would probably be a bad distributor or ecu..
Or maybe a broken timing belt..

The distributor signals the ECU which controls fire and fuel..
If the cam belt breaks the distributor won't turn thus no signal..

When you turn the key on,does the check engine light come on then go out?
If not check fuse #14

 

yes, you do need the resistor box. you need to convert it to mpfi. you will need to add wires to your ecu

You did convert it to MPFI didn't you?

I just got a new distributor from distributor king, so it could be ecu or timing belt you say. So I don't need and injector restistor box?

You will need injector clips, a resistor box and it wiring...
