car dies when cold
anyone know why my car wants to die when its cold out. when i start ti it usually idles around 700 (thought it should idle higher when cold) and sometimes dies when i put clutch in. after its been driven a few minutes its fine, its just annoying!
no ef with 91 ls. it doesnt always die, but the idle bounces, and is usually from 500-700. i thought when its cold it usually idles around 1k. and it dies usually a few times too. lets say i start it up, it will idle ok, a little low but ok. then i drive off and when i put the clutch in it usually dies.

aren't cars known to turn off if not warmed up?

Your IAC (Idal Air Control Valve) might be going out. I had an Eclipse that would not stay running when it was cold, but as soon as it warmed up, it would run fine. Its like a choke. If I am wrong, pls correct me as I am getting back into the swing of things with Hondas/ Acura's and out of Mitsubishi's
