Can I get some opinions on what to do with my gauges?
I tried a search, I know what people say.....but I still want your opinions.
When I got my turbo I picked up boost, egt, and oil pressure all in 60mm greddy warning gauges. Theses things are AWESOME, however to me it seems that the oil pressure gauge is a complete waste of money (cost over $200) and I wanna get rid of it and replace it w/ somethign more usefull.
These are my options:
-keep oil pressure (why?)
-fuel pressure (I know its important, but I run a mf2....so I have stock pressures, I doubt anything'll go wrong. Also, I can hook this up to my msd along w/ my boost gauge to cut spark if pressure drops....good safety feature
)
-Greddy a/f (supposed to be the next best thing to wideband. however, I'm hitting the dyno for real wideband tuning.....so this would just be for monitering....one expensive moniter
)
-temp gauge w/ both oil and water sensors.....that I can switch back and forth w/ a switch (that make sense?)
I wanna stick w/ greddy gauges, cuz they look and work so damn good, and match what I already have.
So....whatta think?
Edit: I can't spell

The question is what should I do? Which gauge should I replace the oil pressure with. And yes I'm most likely selling it. $200. Email me if interested.
Personally I would keep all the gauges you have. But you should put the gauges that you dont' need to look at all the time out of sight (hint). Everybody knows that turbo cars require a little more maintanence and monitoring as well. Plus if you plan on upgrading to more boost those gauges will be especially helpful. Personally if it was me, I would of just used a greddy boost and a/f gauge and did hte rest of the gauges in autometer format.
Greddy is too expensive for me.

I think oil pressure is important because the last time I was at the track, I found oil leak from my pan which have been leaking for god knows how long. If I had the gauge, I would of found out sooner and fixed it before I go to the track.
you really think you would have found out sooner? sorry but i doubt you would have noticed the drop in pressure of what? 1psi?
Dude here is the thng about oil pressure, turbo need it. usually around 50 PSI is good. If you run with low oil pressure starts you'll starve the beaings in your turbo, and you'll be buying a new turbo. The dummy light on your dash only comes on when the oil pressure is below like 5 psi.

I might do something along the lines of what Evil said.....get stuff like oil pressure and temp in autometer... maybe keep them in the glovebox or something.
I might pick up the GReddy A/F, but i'll see. Like I said before....it be mostly for monitering, because I'll be doing my tuning on a real wideband. Hmm...maybe its not worth it then
