Default LS VTEC high or low compression?

sup,
i like the idea of an ls block on vtec head. although for the past year ive had in mind that it is a high compression motor that is only for NA. now ive been reading articles of boosted ls vtec motors. am i not getting something here?
If ls vtec is good for boost...then would putting a ls vtec as a NA motor ot be quicker untill you turbo be a good idea? thanks

it depends on your level of intensity on your build. some people say vtec isnt good for turbo, some say its fine. do some searches on ls vtec turbo builds and see what problems people had. the main thing you want to be careful of if you are going to do it is oil pressure. as you will have to tap the oil line for the b16 head you will also need oil for the turbo, some people develop oil leaks around the head gasket on ls vtecs. however, i would put in 8.5:1 or even lower compression pistons to reduce your chance of detonation w/ that build. but thats my personal opinion. if you need a b16 head i happen to have one for an ls vtec build i started but aborted. pm if u need one.

Medium comp (11.5:1) LS/Vtec here. Head has been pulled twice since original build (7800 miles ago). No leaks since. ARP head studs w/ OEM gasket. Good stuff.
