Default 87 Accord shakes when I turn it off.

Everyonce in a while when I turn off my Accord it'll shake for a couple seconds when I turn it off. And then when I goto start it it'll have a really hard time starting. But once it's started, it'll run fine.

Now, it doesn't shake ALL the time when I turn it off, every once in a while though. What could it be?

this condition is called dieseling... in your case, i'm willing to bet it only does it on a hot day or after a long or hard drive... if that's the case, replace your thermostat and flush your coolant system

Not really, I live in Washington yesterday I went to the grochery store (I hadn't driven the car for like 6 hours). I started it up, and drove to the grochery store, it was average temprated outside mid 50's I'm guessing. When I got to the grochery store, I turned it off and it shook, when I started it, it wouldn't want to start I had to pump the gas repeatidly.

When I got home, I turned it off didn't shake I then started it again and it started fine.

This morning when I went to lunch I hadn't driven the car for like 4 hours, I got to McDonalds, I turned it off, it shook again, I started it, but it didn't want to start but I got it started. When I got back to work, I turned it off and it was normal.

Check your timing. I have seen this caused by the timing being too far off(I think advanced?). I'm sure there are other causes as well, such as carbon deposits, etc. But I would make sure your timing is set right, then try a fuel system cleaner.

Could this seriously mess up my car? Like cause it not to work?

It could if it's detonating. Does it ping/knock when you are driving? When was the last time you had it tuned up?

I don't hear a pinging or knocking of any sorts, but honestly I have a leak in my exhaust so I don't think I could hear it that well. I bought it about 3 months ago and I haven't gotton it tuned up yet.
