Default d16z6 block, d16a6 tranny, what clutch?

I'm replacing the engine in my 91 civic si with a d16z6. I'm wondering if I can use the z6 flywheel and clutch or if I have to use the a6 flyweel and clutch or a combination of the two. Thanks.

I think that it would be the Z6 combo but I could be wrong and would learn something if not...

any will work. as far as clutches, you can use either 88-91 Si d16a6 or 92-95 EX/Si d16z6. the clutch, pressure plate, and pilot bearing are identical, the only difference lies in the throwout bearing. a 92-95 hydro tranny throw out bearing will not work with cable tranny.

Thanks for the help, I'll pick up the new throwout bearing.

All the 90-00 flywheels are the same..

I would look into either a Clutchmasters clutch or Exedy ceramametallic clutch..
