Tranny Fluid Mixture for this summer. Check out my mixture!!!
OK, i was referred by a friend to use this. His back ground is that he owns his own shop, he has built alot of hondas up, and is very good at what he does. He recommended me to use this mixture. Just wondering what you thought and now maybe you can try it. He say to go out and by a quart of each of the following....10-30, 20-50, and Lucus Oil. What do you guys think of the mixture? He didnt specify which brand, but i bought mobil 1 oil. thanks if you want post what you use.
I sure as hell don't use Lucas:

Why are we mixing things? What is wrong with Honda MTF or some of the other popular fluids people are using?

On my '90 Integra I had 251k miles on it and the bearings and gears had some pretty good wear on them. I tried 10w-30 with some Lucas oil and it did shift better and not make as much noise. Then I tried Honda MTL and it was a crapload better. It shifted even better and when cold it was alot easier to get into gear because the MTL is actually very thin compared to oil and Lucas. I'd def recommend the MTL, good stuff.
that is what i have in my car actually right now. He only drives his car in the summer. any body else have a opioion?

Oh yea, it is definately good stuff, but a little extreme if you don't have any worn synchros or bearing noise. That craps expensive too!
