Potential scam??? It looks to me like it probably a hijacked ad just like many other ads on ebay.

I once bid on an engine and I received a scam-letter very much like this.. Promises of the eBay Motor protection 'n all that bullshit.. I've never even heard of that crap.
I wouldn't bid on that auction without consulting eBay directly, or sumat.. But hey, guess that's just me being close minded.
Or as we like to say in Europe "Not completely effin' gullible".

I see no reason to believe that this auction is not legit. I would be willing to take a plane all the way to NJ to pick this car up at this price and drive it home. Awesome condition! If you're unsure then check the vehicle history report. He said that he is the original owner of this car. The VIN could be fake but it's worth a try. I have seen a CRX SE here in the US. And the guy that owned it lived here. It was back in 1995-1996 and it sure was sweet!

I ran the VIN and there have been multiple title transfers for the car so he is probably not the original owner. The last record for the car was from 2003 when it failed emissions in California It has also been registered in ID and CA but never in Jersey so I would be wary.

I said the car is in Livingston but did not said I'm there also. Sorry for that. I'm a hotel manager, now in Hawai actualy and will not be there to hand it over or something like that.
This is why we'll work through Yahoo Payments and they will keep the money untill the purchase is final and you test it and accept it.
Sorry for not being clear from the begining, my fault.
Thank you.</TD></TR></TABLE>

i agree with rsca_crx, especially on the mis-matched language. he could have just copied/hyjacked an old ad. if it were me, and i were wanting this car, i would contact him, drive down there and look at it before purchasing, and verify the vins between the chassis, webpage, and title even. if he's not willing to do that, theres more crx's out there.

It's a scam...no Canadians are allowed in Hawaii. It was a pact we signed with them in 1984.
