Type S ecu
I've read somewhere in here that the type S ecu is OBD I.......so is it possible to swap it to the SH to attain the function of the ATTS; which Allow us SH owner too have the option of Hondata or spoon chip.
if Yes, where to get this ECU? Also could someone elaborate on the capablities of the e-manage over the vafc?

...but it's JDM OBDII, which is like USDM OBDI. but you still can't chip it. unless you have a japanese chipping program; ha ha ha -- JDM Computer to chip a JDM ECU. sorry.
but i don't think it'll work buddy.

this aoura of hoplessness surround me for owning the SH model, since my only option here is the either the Vafc of the e-manage; which do u guys recommend. Unless their is some kind of standalone system out there that allows the ATTS to work.

e-manage. not as many people use it, but i think it's got plenty of options to tune NA builds. Hondata is cool, but i have to say that if you have an SH, ATTS is cooler.

Im running an eManage and I drive an ss.. I like it so far.. good for tuning.. You can add fuel unlike the vtech controller.. The emanage takes time to get used to though.. Functions ect.
I'm gonna agree with the rest of the guys here on saying NO the JDM Type-S ECU will not work with an OBD1 veichle. Plus for the money you are going to spend on a Type-S ECU which is not garunteed to give much horses, get something else with tunning flexability.

do a search on google for Greddy E-manage
one of the links should be the japanese greddy/trust website... click it, and google should try to automatically translate the japanese to english. Doesn't do a perfect job, but you get the overall idea of what all the e-manage can do (of course you could just look for some english site with the same info

Yes, the ne GReddy e-Manage does have new improvments. I'm positive I read on a magazine that the new GReddy e-Manage will allow the user to adjust the VTEC engament point.
