code 13 from obd 1 converted mini me
finally the car is up and running well at least it starts and idles fine....
i am throwing a code 13 baro whatever... did a lil search most say its a bad ecu.
so how did you guys solve this? and is the car driveable? i dont to drive far just like 15 -20 mins max
so i have a a6/z6 mini me with fully converted obd 1
just dont tell me its a bad ecu..i already had to buy a new vtec preassure switch (82 overnighted) dizzy( 200 overnighted) and various other things...any help would be awesome
if i cant fix it just tell me if its driveable...and ill drive it around short distance till i get a new ecu
ps:car starts up fine(first or second crank) and idles great

The baro is in the ecu, like I told you before... You can re solder in a new sensor, replace the ecu, or just live with the light on... I did a search and found that they car should still run like normal.

well i drove home with the light on and it bogs down when i hit 3500 rpm....safe mood....so yea...have to get rid of the light...i think ill probally get a new ecu...sucks though this one is already chipped and data logged...and im so in debt for this so mini me mini spending...

why would the ecu go bad all of a sudden anyways? it was working fine on another car before....
oh yea where is the sensor on the ecu? and where can i find another baro sensor? to solder in?

Yes it's located on the OBD1 ECU - Not the OBD0 ECU's
The Barometric pressure sensor was external until 1992.
The external unit is located under the dash somewhere.
Doesn't apply to you because your OBD1 computer is reading from its onboard "BPS"
The cause is on your circuit board / at the BPS. You can either replace the BPS (which from all my research i can't seem to find a how-to on.. Nor does it seem anyone has even tried.)
Or replace the whole damn ECU. Which is what 90% of the posts / websites i've read tonight have said.

i know my p28 threw codes like that last november but the only thing i did was reset the ecu and its been fine ever since. it was related to my tps cel for some odd ball reason. maybe it has something to do with the ecu being chipped?? i dunno but i havent seen that code since....

yea my ecu is also chipped. but i reseted the thing like a million times....still comes back. by reseting all i did was unhook my battery for like 10 secs each time.....now i also cut my j1 jumper to revert back to normal factory maps and it gives me a solid cel...so i jumped it again...
