Default Problems HELP!

B16a in a 92 cx hatch
intake
Worldsport exhaust
93 octane
shittball mugen program chipped ecu

Today i changed to plugs trying to fix a sputtering problem, and there was some oil in the chambers ... is that uncommon?

changed the plugs and the fuel filter

wires and dizzy, cap, rotor were all changed when i did my swap 3 months ago.

I ahve a 1 wire o2 sensor, but the car just recently started sputtering, so i doubt that has something to do with it, but i will be changing that out soon.

PLEEEEEEEEASE HELP ME im going nuts trying to figure this out

Eric

Runs and idles fine, no drastic drop in power just horribleness when it comes to sputtering

Oil sitting on top of the plug where the wire connects is normal if you have a leaky valve cover gasket. There are 4 round seals that are used around the plugs.

My valve cover has been off a few times, once for a new cam seal 2 weeks ago, and like one other random time... hopefully thats the case... Im hearing it could be the rings?

sputtering happens both pre vtec and during

wat did you do so far?? compression test your cylinders...black smoke usally means u have an leak or just buring really rich...and wat exactly is on your car? is your timing retarded?? do you see any leaks? check all the gaskets...exhaust manifold gasket (not that is the problem) check headgasket...if your exhaust is to big you will lose back pressure but it wouldn't cause your car to sputter....what kind of oil are u using?? did you switch from regular oil to synthetic?? if you did... do an engine flush and use regular 5w-30....switchin to synthetc (on an older engine) will clean old oil deposits and dirt would could actually be a bad thing...the oil deposits and dirt become protection.... and f the mugen ecu it could b throwing your timing off... c if a stock ecu will fix ur prob....depending on ur intake man (just to see wat happens) i... and again check your sensors (map sensor would cause sputtering and stallage)... r u gettin an obd code?
