What clutch to use for a J1 tranny?
I recently ordered an exedy stage 1 organic clutch from prostreetonline but they sent me the wrong one. The splines seem to match up but the diameter on the clutch is a little too big so the clutch has alot of play on the shaft. Does anyone know what clutch to use for this. Part numbers would help alot or the model and year that will fit this. Thanks!
I am currently using a 90-91 integra clutch kit on my J1 trans. The 92+ clutch discs have a larger spline and will fit loosely on the J1 input shaft.
This tranny is going on a gsr engine so will the integra one fit the flywheel on on the gsr? It's for an LS integra correct?
Well I got the right clutch in last week but the pilot bearing is too big to fit in the flywheel. I'm going to the dealer to see if the GSR pilot bearing will work.

Its official! I'm a retard! Its been so long since I changed a clutch on Honda that I forgot that the pilot bearing goes on the backside of the flywheel. I recently changed the clutch on a ford and you put the pilot bearing in from the front without removing the flywheel. Oh well, at least now I have it figured out!
