Default Stealth 95 gsr suffers another casualty :(

As many of you know Andrew was involved in an accident which put his R to rest(The Cone). He recently picked up another R from Dropspeed if i'm not mistaken.
I got a call from him today and he told me he blew his motor on the dyno. I'll let him chime in when he sees this but from what I understand the exhaust cam spun about 15 degrees, thus ruining his motor. For someone who's been through so much already, it was painful to hear.
I got you som JDM ITR pistons, from my motor, which are all yours for free Andrew. Let me know what else I can do for you. I got your back man and good luck.

Oh jesus, I thought you meant his new R. Whew!

Anyhow, that sucks *** about the motor. I thought he might make it up to Road America this past weekend, guess not.

What brand cam gears? AEM? Doesn't really matter, sounds like a mistake on the adjuster's part, to slip right there on the Dyno.

Another reason turbo is more reliable than N/A.
(hahahahaha, neither are reliable, just kidding)

hey. Yeah, the exhaust cam gear slipped to full advance. The tuner did, however, torque the bolts to spec with a digital snap-on torque wrench. Go figure? Anyway, I'm in dire need of a head, and probably a block. I'll get pics up in the next couple days. My friend back in MI is going to tow the car back and pull the head tomorrow hopefully. I'm thinking of going a little milder on the build. Maybe Toda Spec A or BC Spec 3+. I guess I learned the hard way that you have to use reliable well known parts from the start. PM me if you have any info or can help in any way...

-Andrew

Buy Ed's ****. Sell your old tranny.

I almost had that all sold this last week for $5500, but the potential buyer backed out.

I'll be keeping it if I find a job soon ... Ed

Keep your head up Drew, again it happens to the best of us(me who is going through his second motor rebuild in 8 months) and can only make us stronger....if not a bit more hostile..... . You got my number, call me if you need anything.

You know what, he should be getting a K series anyway. B series is "played out".

I've been thinking how nice it would be to have a trackable/race worthy 400+ DC2R, again ... some day.
