i like the SMSP, but its expensive.

if you search harder theres a thread about headers getting tested.

i think it was

Stock vs JDM vs DC vs some other header forgot

and theres another thread that shows the power out put of a SMSP header ... i think it was like 20 extra WHP WITH the other mods he had. it was like 200+ WHP on a NA H22 i think..... i could be wrong.

Pretty damn strong motor if you ask me. The run was with a CAI, Stock JDM Header, and High Flow Cat and that Chipped ECU he was using. This was not tuned with a VAFC as you can see by the graph.

with SMSP

He has a JDM h22 in it with Intake /SMSP Header/ Piping exhaust to a 2.5inch Magnaflow muffler with a 2.5 inch test pipe. Here are his results with just tuning from a VAFC and a chipped ECU hes using.

200whp 151tq</TD></TR></TABLE>

best would be $550 for prospeed/an-r/kteller, if smsp would net u 20whp those three would prolly get around 15whp for half the price, but if u got the money smsp or hytech are the best but mucho dinero...

yeah, half the price for 5 less HP, but who where wouldnt pay 225 for 5 more HP?

go with the best, save some money so you dont spend it on something you are pretty happy with, just to realize about a month later you should of saved for a week or two more.

search! there are so many threads around right now on these headers. In honesty SMSP and RMF are the top 2, dyno proven . As with all car parts, you pay for what you get. buy a dc with 2.5 collector youll be lucky to gain 10 whp, smsp or rmf in 20's neighborhood. like i said, search. theres like 5 threads around right now on this specific topic.

I think the prospeed requires some fabrication of the subframe. My friend had one put on his 4th gen and had to have part of that 'ish Cut out.

Here is a pic of the header in the car b4 and after he had it coated with Jethot ( I think thats what its called).

prospeed is $550 for mild steel with stamp collector, merge collector is extra and stainless steel is extral, lookup the member PROSPEED and his website is in his info, he's located in socal, or you can PM him, he's very hard to get a hold of though....

since this is your next question...stamp vs. merge: there isnt too much info on this, but from what i understand, stamp collector is just the normal inside of the header where the primaries meet and has some rough spots from the welds, merge collector is like a port/polish of the collector where the welds are smoothed out and the exhaust flows easier..dunno if its right, someone confirm..???
