Default SMSP header stats

my buddy and i were bitching about the hp/tq gains from this header. he said theres no way that a 4 cylander engine can gain around 15 whp from just a header, granted you have the proper exh. piping, and tuning. can someone please post up a dyno sheet or something that might drill a bullet through his head that all 4 cylanders arent gay? thanks

P.S.- if im an idiot and theres no way that a header can give you 15 whp, then flame the **** out of me, but ive read it numerous times, and yes i searc

Actually he had a chipped ECU so it probably had more agressive timing maps than stock but impressive non the less since he didnt even know what map he was using was.

it should be taken into account that he is running a JDM h22 which is rated for 220hp at the crank. still amazing numbers though. any ideas where a USDM h22 would be at with same setup?? like 185-190whp ??

Only the type S or R is rated at 220. All other JDM H22's are either 190hp or 200hp depending on the year

Correct. I was the one that made the thread on PO.com and i know the kid. I dont think i want to make public who he is though as you guys would probably bombard him with PMs. But regardless the 1/4 is pretty pointless since its in a hatchback. Probably a good 12 sec run on slicks.

this is right except for the fact that there was never a prelude type R.....the type S and the SiR- S spec were the 220 hp h22s
