Transmission mount breaking
Lets see where to begin. Well on my drive home from work on Thursday, I noticed an unusual feeling in my pedal assembly. Well I didn't think much of it. Friday morning I woke up and got ready for work. I was leaving the house to take my son to the babysitters and once again I felt the unusual feeling in the pedals again. I got 2 miles away from my house and the whole pedal assembly shifted along with the stick shift and heard a clunk. I thought to myself oh ****, what just broke. Well put it in first and started to drive away and the clunk got worse. Well turns out that my transmission mount broke. I was 2 miles away from home and had to call a tow truck.
After gathering all the pieces that I needed to fix the problem I began installing them. After I got them all installed i started the car and drove it. I began hearing a noise coming from the passenger side. I stop the car and jack the passenger side up and remove the wheel. I notice that when i turn the rotor, that the axle moves about 3/4 of an inch before it starts turing in the transmission. That is where the noise was coming from. I broke the axle. Well, I bought the car 1990 Civic si with the swap already done, D16z6. So I figured it was the stock si axles. Well I went to the junk yard to get one just before they closed. Got home to put it in, and what do you know, the axle does not fit. It fits in the tranny fine, but when you go to put it in the hub, too big. I am like WTF. Well I couldn't do anything until Saturday, and even that time, some places aren't open. Well turns out, that when the swap was done, the guy put HF hubs on the front. Why is this? So I had to drive out to BFE just to get a HF passenger side axle. Well everything works now. No problems. Should i change everything back to si, or just keep the hf stuff in there? Is there a difference in performance wise? The hf axles seem smaller in diameter also. Just curious.

well you will be fine for now but if you ever want to go to a b series swap then your have to switch over to si hubs but other than that you will be fine i have an hf with a zc swap and i havent had any probs. with my hf axels
