Default Cyl. Bore Measurements Results

hello fellow H-T posters.

i just want to know your opinions on this matter. any suggestions will be really much appreciated.

http://www.photonski.com/images/87051/large

the link shows you a table w/c i plotted upon getting the measurements of each bore using a bore gage with 0.001 dial indicator. the block is a JDM B16A second gen model w/c i just bought but i opted to do a rebuild on it.

notice those orange marks i made w/c either exceeds the allowed service limit of the bore diameter or a margin closer to end. apart from that(not show in the pic actually) i did use a brand new ring set to test the end gap clearances in the areas w/c shows more than the service limit allowed, by placing the piston ring into those spots, clearances are still with in specs. (i.e. on cyl. #3, i still get a 0.356mm clearance) while compared to the Helms manual showing you from 0.2-0.35mm end gap being brand new and the service limit is 0.6mm.

i would like to hone each cyl and do another rerun of measurements. and most probably it will exceed the service limit(bore dia=81.07mm) further. but take note that those figures show much on the pistons being at TDC.

question is? are you still gonna use this block or rebore to 81.25mm and use OS pistons instead? thing is, it's gonna extend my budget again and i don't feel like spending a bit moer for the pistons this time but do i have a choice? i mean down the road, should i rebore and us OS slugs now or can i continue?

please help. many thanks for your time. more pix of my DIY project in my sig below
