Does anyone hitting 11's or faster have a roll bar with back seats? Is it possible meeting all the specification with the back seats? I've searched and couldn't find anything with roll bar with back seats. I want to put a roll bar in my teg and keep my back seat if that is possible. TIA

 

you can install it with the back seats but it will no longer be usable. Even if you can get a person back there it would not be safe for them in an acedent considering the bar that they more than likely collide with

 

The S&W kits let you keep your back seats. (swracecars.com) It wouldn't be safe for anyone back there, but you get to keep the seats.
My dilema is I want them to make the rear section without the rear seats in mind. I'm not going to run back seats and I want straight rear bars. I emailed them, but they said they don't offer them like that. I'm still looking.

 

yes both art morrison and s&w race cars have cages that allow u keep back seat. Instead on going straight down from the main hoop then out straight back then 90* down.

My s&w cage came with straight bars. I actually wanted the ones that looped over the back seat but they never did replied to my emails.

 

hmm, I just recently emailed them and let them know that I wanted straight bars for the back and the only thing they offered was that I could buy the main hoop seperately and then fab the rest of the bars myself.

not the greatest pics, but you can see a few of how my rear bars follow the roofline and then come down past the backseats. I forsee concusions if people right back there much, but i have foam padding on the bars, so you'd have to hit a bar pretty hard with the foam padding on it to really hurt yourself.

i have removeable swingouts, but didn't put a removable harness bar in the car.

I had a custom cage made though here locally by a local Busch series racer that makes his own tube frames.

 

i dont really care if it can fit people in the back or not or unsafe or whatever. the reason why i want the rear seat is because my car is a street car also and i would like my subs to sound decent instead of w/out the back seats they sound all nasty and stuff

 

the point of having a 4dr is for passengers

 

look at my picture number 10, see the 12in sub sandwiched under the rear strut bar, works out perfectly and i have full interior & cage.

 

I just called Louie at L-con Engineering and from talking to him he says he can make a bar to my specs. Hopefully this is the end of my dilema.

hey seen4ever, i see that you got 6x9 speakers also. How did you wire those up? I am planning on putting 6x9 in my teg and i would have a total of 6 speakers. Would i be able to wire the 6x9 sharing the wires for the back speakers or should i use my 4 channel amp and amp the front/rear speaker or rear/6x9 trunk speaker?

 

i just have 6x9s in the rear with no other rears. I have the speakers ran through a 5-channel amp along with the fronts & the sub.
