d16z6 in crx distributor question

Default d16z6 in crx distributor question

ok .... we dropped in a d16z6 in a 89si crx but when we dropped in the d16z6 the distributor from the old single cam (d16a6 i think) didnt fit. so i need to know what distributor to use? will a d16z6 distributor work if we rewire it with the obd0 plugs??? or what distributr do i need?? TIA

have the same problem myself, just did swap yesterday, had to modify top bolt slot to get it to stay in and time.

z6 dist. won't work unless you convert to obd1. Some people get the a6 dist. to work with only 1 leg. personally, I did it and modified (i.e. made) mounts to hold it on all 3 and I still had leaks. BAD leaks. So, convert to obd1, check your oil all the time and enjoy a dirty engine bay, or you can do like me and swap to a diff. motor
