i bought some new racing seats for my 94 cx, but the sliders they came with are the ones that (i assume) you have to mount directly to the floor. i "fabricated" a bracket to mount them to my OEM rails, but now they sit up really high. in order to mount them to the floor, i would have to cut/grind out the rail on the floor where the oem sliders mount. would this affect chassis rigidity? i saw in honda tuning one month where they did this, but it was for a drag car. BTW this is my weekend/track car mostly, but i do drive it on the street sometimes.

am i wrong about the design of these sliders? does anyone have seats that are mounted this low?
