i bought a new tachometer, and i installed it.

the problem is sometimes it's showing idle at 3000RPM, and as soon as i disconnect the wire inside the dash, and install it again, it goes back to normal. however if i put the dash back together, it goes back to 3000. is my tachometer messed up or the connection is messed up.
