Anybody has his email? My friend has been looking for a CW one, and is planning to do a jdm conversion. I think he'll be intrested in this one.
Yep...my rings went and I installed factory pistons, rings, bearings, and gaskets from Honda. So basically its a brand new motor. But there is no turbo on it now. My email is jessngib@hotmail.com if anyone is interested.

If you bought a car, thinking nothing had been done to it, and found out later the person before you turbo'd the crap out of it and broke it, would you not be a little upset?
What about the potential extra wear and tear you put on everything else? (Trans/axles etc?)
Dishonest sellers suck.

Why would they care...its a brand new motor.
Honestly, I think you should put that on the sell page. If you don't, you're asking for trouble.
How is he falsifying details about the car? I don't see it. If you aren't interested in it, you don't have to buy it. There are no false details about the car on the ad.
A brand new motor needs to have the rings and bearings properly broken in. This takes several thousand miles of easy driving. If your prospective buyer doesn't know about the rebuild - he/she could wreck the motor by revving too high too early.
What you are doing is fraudulent misrepresentation.

Wear and tear on everything else? Please...I had the turbo on for a week and drove it maybe 100 miles. It pretty much was for show purposes. I never raced the car. I installed a brand new clutch and the axles were new before I put the turbo on. So I don't think its being dishonest.
Never more than 5 lbs. Ok here. Boo Hoo Hoo. Is this better?

Much better.
Honesty is the best policy after all.
And yes, I still stand by my wear and tear comment.
Obviously the turbo put enough "pressure" on the pistons/rings to break stuff, so I'm sure other parts may have suffered as well. Like the Cat, crank, oiling system.. etc.

I didn't see your original ebay ad, but that's pretty cool of you to mention the rebuild.
As long as you don't say anything untrue about your car, then the rule is "buyer beware," and the seller is not obligated to warn a buyer of rebuilt parts.

Rebuilt=Not new
New= Engine you buy from the dealer that is from the factory and not rebuilt.
I think If someone finds out you have rebuilt motor instead of a new one you might be getting into some problems with them.
Ok cool I just saw the add. I hope you can find someone to take it off your hands.
