Ls tranny bolt up
Will the b18 LS tranny bolt up to my b16a. I know it's a b series tranny with a b series motor to just, "bolt up" But i am seriously considering just buying a used Ls tranny. Are the ys-1 and this LS tranny the same in terms of imput shaft, bolting pattern to the motor, and correct splines and all that stuff. I am going to replace the pilot bearing, and the clutch. And i had problems finding a clutch to match up correctly to the b16a. The exeddy clutch kit from Autozone didn't fit correctly....It was a total bummer. Recap:
-Will the LS tranny Fit up to a b16a motor with no need for speciality attention?
-What clutch will fit this tranny/motor combo? (aka: "go search for..._CAR_ & _year_")

If you're asking whether a 90-91 integra LS cable clutch transmission will bolt up to an obd0 b16a, then the answer is yes. It bolts up just like the b16a trans; I currently have a b16a w/ LS trans. No issues with input shaft, and uses the same clutch.

I always hesitate to say that because of the clutch issue.
of course, the bell housing bolts line up fine.

sikkness....I was thinking that any B series trany bolts right up but there's always those exceptions to the rule. Awesome then, i think my best bet is going to the junkyard and getting teh LS tranny...for 400$....I say take the easy way out on this one and then make it up the car by taking the ls 5th gear in the ys-1 and then getting a little better gas milage. Ok guys thanks...
