Default rusty type r

Who has one?, where is the rust? Do you store your car and still get rust like I do? I have bubbles coming up through the paint on my truck lid at the weld seam. What to do, cause the whole car looks like a 10 except for that area. The reason I didn't ask this in the appearance forum was because I figured only R owners store their car.

Has the car had a new paint job since you bought it.........I'm sure the dealer will ***** you. But if a body shop did some paint on the trunk they should fix it. good luck

It may have a 10 year unlimited corrosion protection. Check your manual, THEN with your dealer. If not they may fix it in good faith...

I think it has to rust THROUGH for them to fix it.

That sucks. I have rust in the wheel wells (need to clean up from rolling fenders) and at the top of the hatch on the roof (where a number of other people have rust too).

No original paint, I will contact the dealer about the problem. I didn't think it would ever rust considering the shape the car is in and the fact that I don't even drive in the rain.

In the gutter rails on the roof, right where they meet the hatch. There's a weld there that has rusted on a number of Integras.... I failed to find a post that had pix of a number of them (bbasso? others?).

Lol, you're actually complaining about rust which is your fault, and blaming it on the car?

That sucks for you guys, I guess I lucked out with the previous owner of my ITR.

No signs of rust yet.

Good Luck with the rust issue btotherizzle

I have rust in the trunk hatch area, and in my door jams( thanks to crappy body work from the previous owner.) I plan on repainting the jams myself or something to solve this issue...

even though i'm back at school in indiana, my R is tucked away safely in a storage locker back in phoenix -- not even the remotest sign of rust.

but after working on my buddys' cars here at school, i can tell that the midwest is hell on cars. a friend of mine has an 00 GSR which is rusting on the roof, of all places -- weird because all of the typical honda rust spots are clean on his car.
