have a 89 Accord LXI ,3 door coupe , fuel injected. After car is warmed up,3-5 min ,shut it off it will not start and you can smell gas ,if I pinch off the fuel line it will start. If I pull off a connector to an injector , you can hear it trying to fire on that cylinder.
I have replaced the fuel regulator , and all of the components in the box on fire wall.
Fuel filter , and checked pressure and staying at 39psi.
It seems to flooding its self out .
I haven't found a mechanic that can lead me to try anything else .

mmm do you mean 88 lxi????you might try unplugging the tw sensor and see how it starts for you ,i am guessing that might be your problem

 

Sorry about year, finger error it is an 89 , and yes did that to know avail

 

try removing the hose from the charcoal canister that goes into manifold,,also pull out oil dipstick and see if you got gas in crankcase if so drain and put new oil
