Default damn battery, or is itt?

ok so I finally got my bike running (92 F2) I jump started it and rode it around, after I turned it off I couldnt get it to start again, so...

I bought a battery tender and everything was all gravy, rode it around the next day.

then I thought it might rain, so i took the battery off the bike and charged it inside.

the next day i connected it to the bike and there was no power at all, dead battery or not? I suck at using/reading the digital multimeter, but from what i went thru is the battery is done for?

Clean the carbs. Is the bike turning over?

i got my bike fixed 2 months ago from champions, cost me 500 but they rebuilt the carbs, changed my throttle cable, put in a new battery.

(2 months ago)I drove it around for awhile, the next day I did the same, decided to take a break, turned it off and couldnt get it to turn on then after.

2 months pass then my friend suggests I try to jump start or push start, so I go home try that out and fires right up! take it out for a spin then wouldnt start up after i turned the bike off.

so i bought the battery tender and i was good to go, everything was fine till i took the battery off the bike and charged it inside.

so if the carbs are cleaned, the starter is fine? because it is able to turn over, supposedly a new battery (from 2 months ago) I could have overcharged the battery or is the battery just done for?

thanks

Take the battery to your local parts store and have them load test it. If the voltage doesnt drop too much under load then it is probably fine, just needs a recharge and symptom 1 is excluded. If the battery is tested as fine (which it should be considering it is only 2 months old) you then need to have your charging system tested. Honda's are notorious for having the voltage regulator die. It can either overcharge/undercharge the battery. If you are not mechanically inclined, and arent good at diagnosing electrical problems it may be best to take it to an experienced bike mechanic.

The voltage regulator is located on the right subframe in front of the cdi. You need to remove the seats/tail section to get to it.

Good luck.

thanks for your imput, you really helped me out with figuring how to take the seat off from the other thread, man how easy that was... hopefully it's something less cost effective..
