A lot of lude owners like the forbidden shifter.

I do not make a 5gen short shifter.....so you'll have to go with second best?

You wish you were kidding. PSPEC feels good and has a nice crisp throw (4th gen) but 4Bidden puts out an unparalelled, solid, positive, butter-smooth shifter. alas, PSPEC seems to be your ownly option.

yes, i shamelessly endorse FMS.

I have a lean racing one and love it. Shifter is at a good height and the throws are nice and clean.

No.

The 5gen assembly is made as one solid piece, shifter and base plate. Honda sells it as one piece because it is not made to come apart. So the options are to either hack at the stock one (no) or design a completely different setup (time consuming, very $$$).

i read somewhere you could swap in a 4th gen base plate...would that be functional, or would it require too much custom fabrication

Yes, it can work but, as much as I'd love to sell shifters to you guys, it's too much work and $ for what you get.

dc or neuspeed makes them too. b & m has it for the 92-96 but not higher unfortunately.

i have a dc one and its pretty good. i think it could be a little shorter but i'll deal w/that when i can drive my car again.
