Replacing the Tranny problem
So the clutch on my civic totally blew up no joke in a 1000 peices. Turns out the previous and original owner never replaced it when they knew it was going over a year before. So when I had it it blew. So I dropped the tranny replaced the clutch fine. Putting the tranny back. It wouldn't go properly. Shaft and the inside of the clutch didn't line up fucked up the gears and I had to fix them. Now is there a simple way of putting it back without ******* it up? Any suggestions will help a lot. This is day #3 without a car.
I have that the clutch aligning tool was perfectly center. It's the tranny going back on that screwed it up. It didn't pop back in right I beleive. Must be an easier way to put it back on.
try putting ratchet on crank pulley bolt then get someone to turn it as u slide tranny into position... might even put lil grease on tip of input shaft of tranny to promote insertion... if not seated in properly ull put pressure on imput shaft and kill bearings inside...
found out what the problem was, There was a bur(sp.) on the inside of the clutch. So I grinded that out and then put the tranny on today. It went on like freaking butter. Car is running like a charm now. Thanks everyone for your help. It was all useful
