B16 head no cam caps ?

Default B16 head no cam caps ?

i have a 99 SI head but my friend lost the cam caps what do i need to do so i can use it??? thanks for any HELP.

Umm, you gonna need to acquire some cam caps then.
I bet you there's a head porter or mass engine builder on here that can sell you some.

Man you have to line hone the head with the new caps. You’re playing Russian roulette if you just pop the new ones on there
Good luck eg6cusco10pt if you toss on the cam caps with out line Honing the block

When they manufacture the head at the factory they bolt the caps on and then bore the cam holes.They all very slightly on location.You can get lucky sometimes and swap a few caps,but a whole set is a miracle.This is why honda doesn't sell the caps.

you have to align hone the cam caps with the head! you have to!

About two years ago, I broke a cam cap in my eagle talons head. I as I asked a local machine shop for advice. The head was sent out to another shop and the repair was performed. To this day, I have about 20k miles on the head since the repair. Hope this helps

YES the caps need to be machined or honed to fit.
