Default ?? Shaving Door Handles ??

Hi I want to shave the door handles on my 98 prelude. Im good with the bodywork part but, I'm really not sure where to mount the solenoid. If anyone has pics of the inside of their door guts with the handles shaved that would that would help me out a lot.
I didnt buy the kit yet to shave the handles but I think I'm going to go with something made by AutoLock. I hear they are pretty good.

Thanks

They sell an emergency back up button and a release cable that you can hide on your car in case your battery goes dead. Probably going to go with the cable insead of the button....seems more reliable

let him do wtf he want, its his car. just because it aint your style dont mean you have to tell him not to do it.

good luck with that, but like the other guy said dont ask questions like that on H-T. most likely a dick will reply with a dumb *** comment.

if you have a question about tech. or performance people on here will more then likely help you out.

I have mine done on my 99 'lude and it looks hot. I made the car extremely sleek looking by shaving the handles, molding the back end of the kit, and up by the sunroof where there are usually those rubber strips vertically on the roof, I took those out and bondoed/fiberglassed them. It looks really good. As far as the solenoids go, I had trouble w/that b/c the inside of the door panels aren't very wide. I had to file out part of the metal part to make room for the solenoid to sit in. Plus, the wires were touching the door panel when placed back on so a pulley system had to be rigged up in order to make the poppers work. I wouldn't do it unless you really have a good idea of what's going on. I had somebody really good help me out.

I got a stronger battery (Optima) and that helped A LOT. Also, a manual pop should come w/the kit...I mounded mine under the back bumper so it wasn't visible but could be accessed if needed. I would highly recommend the battery upgrade though if anything at all.
