Help! Need info about head swap for our race car!
Hey guys,
We were going to set up a '94 dx hb this year to race in a 4cyl division, but a new rule change this year dis-allows 16 valve motors. We still have a few '87 crx's with a 1.5 12 valve engine, would it be possible to do a head swap between the two engines inorder to keep our car legal?
I have no idea what engine family theses two motors are, were do I look?
What I can tell you about the two engines is what the stickers say under the hood, but you guys probably already know this, lol.
Under hood stickers say
'94 hb ---- RHN1.5VJGFEA
'87 crx---- HHN1.5V5FLFD
If I can't use the Crx head on the Hatchback engine, is there something someone could recommend I do? I don't want to have to give up on this project.
