I cant seem to get this thing out of my hatch. Im trying to drop it out the bottom but its massive. Is it safe to unbolt the cross member while I have it on jackstands to free up some room?

Pulling out the front crossmember is OK,
Just don't set the car down or try to roll it around..

Support the engine with a floor jack
so it does not stress the mount/fender support..
