Default HELP! manual boost controller no working! SEARCHED, BUT NO HELP! how does the controller work?

i made a manual boost controller using a link from ht. using the 2 brass fitting (male and female) a ball bearing and a spring. i connected it to the vac that goes to the wastegate and the other end of the vac leads toa nipple on the turbo. for some reason it wont boos past 6 psi. does anyone know exactly how the manual boost controller work? is the spring im using to stiff or too soft? what makes a manual boost controller allow me to have more boost?

aim is iridedumped@aol.com

thanks

you need some kind of threaded contraption in or on it to trick the gate into not seeing enough boost and staying closed.

simple and ghetto, go to LOWES and buy a 20.00 dollar air compresor regulator, comes with all necessary hardware and looks kinda okay

we need to know the wastegate your using and which spring your running. it sounds like the homemade boost controller is leaking. as far as how it works...the tighter you make the spring on the ball valve the more pressure your turbo will make.
