Default 1998 Accord Type-S tiptronic

Just wanted to post some pics of my 1998 Accord. It has a 2002 CL Type S swap in it, motor, tranny, ecu. It has alot of other one of a kinds as well. Just wondering if anyone out there has tried this swap.

hey, sounds like both an expensive and pretty speedy swap...those pics are nice and huge, lol, it seems as if you are all into the swap, good luck.

I once bid on a 1967 jaguar MK2 on ebay which was basically stripped of its original interior and motor and a 2004 Jaguar S-type R was bought from a salvage company, they took the motor, and the entire interior and swapped it into this old car. It took some doing to fit the motor but that worked, and the only real custom work they did to the body was to give the front end a little more brawn, and it looked awesome when they were done, the interior was amazing, the only thing about it was that the car was eventually sold for 35k and all i had to spend with shipping and tax etc... was 30k.

I love extraordinary motor swaps.

I think the slotted rotors are faced the wrong way.

Am I right?

That gauge cluster looks like one from an f20b, Did you just prefer that tranny or do you have plans for a manual? Really nice.

Minus the d3,d4,d5 I just saw that gauge cluster looks just like f20b, Same exact design same numbers/ I know the engine is a v6, I said gauge cluster, gauge cluster, gauge cluster, but now that I see the little tiptronic box in the rpms I know its not.... I like it.

the j-series v6's are 60 degree v's, so yeah; they can seem smaller than usual. the c-series v6, however, is the much more common 90 degree v.

The v6s are distributorless ignition, no plug wires just individual coils.

How did it work out with the AV6 tranny? Ive only seen the whole CLS swap but bever with just motor and keeping the orginal tranny.

Some of the guys that did do the swap ran into trouble with not getting the speedo to work. Did you figure that out too? Id love to know more cuz I wanna swap one into mine minus the 6speed and tiptronic.

I believe you are the first one to have done the auto tranny conversion.

You would be a useful guy to http://www.v6performance.net

BTW, do you have a rough estimate on how much you sepnt. I know the regular CLS swap with 6speed is near $7g's.
