Brake calipers hard to loosen
Has anyone else had this problem? I wanted to change the front pads, tried to undo the bolts on the calipers and couldn't budge them. I thought I'd strip the head off the bolt, that little retaining washer(?) or whatever it is thats supposed to prevent the bolt from loosening spun while I was using a torque wrench like a lunatic with all my strenght but could practically not do it. Is there a way to do it? Finally got them out and changed the pads and they(the bolts went in no problem.

you were using a torque wrench to loosen it??
They tend to be really tight the first time. But after that, they should come off with little effort. We used an impact gun the first time on mine.

The bolts are loctited into the calipers. You might want to use a ratchet with a short lever arm and hit it with a piece of wood or a brick wrapped in a shirt...or something.
Use a braker bar, you will destroy ratchets and torque wrenches (you should never use a torque wrench for anything other then tighten). They are cheep and they are longer then ratchets so its easier to brake them. I picked up a 3/8" and 1/2" braker bar before doing the FD. Man, we used them so much. Plus they are easier to hit with a hammer.
