Default i'm glad i have a full face helmet...

how or why people would wear half helmets or no helmet at all is beyond me...

and that's after i wiped off enough so i could see decently through the visor
but i have no idea what i hit, but every time they hit it sounded like a pebble smacking up at my helmet so maybe some kinda beetle. all that happened in a 5 mile stretch that had an unusual amount of bugs.

yup, like 5 gazillion butterflys a day or two back. i fear what my airbox looks like after i saw what they did to my helmet after 10 minutes...

pretty sure i didn't run into butterflies this time because when they hit my helmet, they would make a really loud CRACK! then splat. most of it happened while i was riding past the lake

I ride an 84 shadow with no windshield and when I lived in the countryside, the front of my jacket from just below the chest up would look like that. Freakin gross, I hated touching that crap wet so I'd let it dry and then take a hard scrub brush to it.

hah i went back there yesterday and there's an even more ridiculous number of bugs on my helmet and jacket. disgusting....

today, there were tons of hornets/bees. i'd stop at a gas station and use their squegee thing to clean up my visor...while wearing it of course.
