for those with greddy kits for the single cams, what octane are you guys using for 8 psi? thanks in advance

 

93 is always recomended anything lower can cause detonation

I don't think you're gonna see anyone running gas that isn't "premium" for the state that they're in.

We get shitty 91 octane in Cali.

Or...you can let Darwin do the work for you and put in Regular....

 

93 in FL @ $2.44 per gal.

 

I'll be running 91 octane probably. 94 is available at some places in my area, but not many, so I'm going to tune on 91 because you can get that at every gas station.

 

thanks for the replys. gas is already at 2.26 for regular. i dont want to look at 93+ prices right now would if be possible to use 87 for 5psi of boost?

 

If you tune for it, but expect to lose a ton of power.

 

not to be a dick but if you're worried about gas prices then don't turbo your car. unexpected things happen to your car quite often when turbo. and you should always use 91+ in a turbo car or any high compression car for that matter

 

i use premium 93 octane, but at 2.54 a gallon, 6 a gallon for c12 isnt sounding bad

 

i'm not looking for all out power, i just want to turbo charge my beater. thought id try something diffrent after owning an all motor integra for 5 yrz. gas prices doesnt really worry me, since the turbo makes the engine more effiecent at low boost, i thought octane rating wouldnt make much diffrence. thanks for the replys guys!

 

93 octane is always the best plus I have to use it in my B-16 anyway Ha Ha Ha

 

For those who are answering the octane question? I want to know what compression ratio you're running? Just to get an idea?

 

im not too sure anymore, but i think 8.5 or 9:1
