Default is this natural??



not my car but a friends accord i noticed this on his trans. you can see everything inside it.
I dont think its suposed to be there

anyone know??

My H22 has the same hole, but it is covered by a stock rubber piece.

It is supposed to be there. I think its used to check timing.

No it's not there to check wear.

It's there to check your timing, unlike b-series and d-series where the timing is on the timing belt/cam gear area.

Looks like your buddy is missing the plug that is suppose to be there.
