Actually I need to know what alternator to use on my B16a in my CRX. I got one from checker a while back and I think they gave me the wrong one, and my car has been overloading it, and it died last night. The alternator is less then 4 months old so I'm trying to get a replacement.

call some local parts stores and see if they ahve any in stock....

 

Yeah there is a warranty so I'm getting it replaced, but since Honda part numbers aren't the same as Checker part number's I need to know what Alt. to ask for. Anybody?

Because the woman at checker wasn't sure which one to give me, and it took like 3 months to kill it.

get the integra alternator

 

I use the D series alts. They are cheaper and abundant. @ idle all my lights are dim, but other then that they have worked just fine.

You should be able to get away with an alternator from any 90-95 Integra or a 94-95 Del Sol VTEC.
