ive got a 98 honda accord lx 4cylinder. the care has 79,000+ miles. the past 3 months or so ive been driving the car pretty hard, just "showing off", includes "flooring" the car, putting it in park and holding down the gas petal (the rpm goes slightly over 5000 and drops down to slightly less than 5, and then goes back up, this will happen over and over again when il hold the petal down, but this is not the problem). Ive noticed in the past two weeks that when i accelerate the car vibrates roughly. it used to do this at great accelerations but now it vibrates on most of my take offs, whether slow or fast. in the years past ive never had this problem, take off is smooth. when the car vibrates, it feels as if the car is not getting enough gas, like it wants to die, sort of. i know these clues are vague, but any help would be greatly appreciated. thx.

 

trade it in for a new one, and or check your pcv valve.

You explained your problem right there. Drive it rough like that expect things to break. Who the hell puts a car in park and hold down the gas pedal???

Tune up. For future reference don't drive the car like a retard. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Furthermore, just why in the hell would you hold your foot on the gas with it in park? Trying to show off? Well you no doubt look like a jackass. Use common sense, honestly.

there's a damn good reason why you shouldn't rev your engine without a load on it

here's for dumbasses

 

had 6 cars in the last 3 weeks with bad injectors (98-02 accords) 4 of them coded P0133

other possibility is the transmission. is it leaking? does it shift weird?

 

first of all make sure you don't have a cylinder miss, plugs, wires, cap, injector if all is ok it could be your inner cv joint

 

LOL!!! holding your gas peddle? haha wouldnt that sound really ugly? why do u do that? at least you couldve revved it and let it go... at least..... lol but just dont do it period... it was gas u prolly mesed up your transmition.. arent the auto trannys very weak?

Could be a lot of things really, but it definitely sounds like you screwed up your tranny.

Congratulations for possibly causing the most expensive problem there is.

 

i have a 2000 accord with auto tranny.. the gears didnt shift smoothly.. delay and vibrations.. so i took it back to honda.. they gave me a new tranny under warranty..

honda extended to tranny for accord to 160k km.. i think around 100k miles.. let honda look at it.. maybe you'll get a new tranny.. good luck
