is a t4 turbo a good or bad choice on a 2.2L engine
HI am new and in the process of building a turbo h22. I have been looking around on this site for quite some time now and finally have a question of my own.
I see many people that run boost are on t3/t4's but what about a big 2.2l engine? can I run a t4 turbo and keep the ar on the hot side real low to help spool time and run a big ar on the cold side?

pretty much all of the prelude guys i know that have gone turbo either stick with an SC61 or T3/T04e.... You dont want a turbo that will lag, and its doubtful that your HP goals are above 400....
my max whp is about 450 or so. I just here alot of people saying about cfm's are what you need to look at, so I tought with a t4 it will flow more than a t3 would. if i keep the A/R
low on the hot side won't that help spool the turbo faster?

i agree with everyone here. I think Jason whitfields crew runs a T04E on his 725 WHP H22 hatch if that tells u anything. There is a reason why everyone chooses the SC61. Its the best of both worlds IMO and makes great power.

T3 frame turbos are proven to 600+ WHP. You don't need a T4 for 450 WHP.
