Default Size for catalytic converter in a 4th gen? Also, where to get cheap Honda parts online?

Just what the headline says. I'm getting ready to do a motor swap starting next week to replace my blown up H23 with an H22a. Also, I've spent the last 2 days searching and I can't seem to find verification for what I need to know. ***Disclaimer***

I'm planning on ordering a CarSound cat for the new exhaust setup, but I don't have the exhaust or the new motor in front of me to verify exhaust diameter. If memory serves me right, both the JDM downpipe and the thermal exhaust I have should be 2.25" diameter piping, correct? The only other thing I need to know is what are the external dimentions of the stock cat?

The other question I have has to do with getting maintainance parts from a honda dealer for cheap. I know that when I used to frequent the forum more frequently, that there were dealers who would give you super cheap parts if you bought online or mentioned that someone from here sent you. Are any dealerships still doing this?

Thanks for any help you all can give, I'm just trying to get the 'lude back on the road again (finally!).

Not sure as far as the cat size.

As for the parts:

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ Is a dealer out of Rhode Island that is about mid-range as far as competitive prices. Other than that....eBay and make a friend at your local dealership! I currently get the "Friends of Dave" discount.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I had them bookmarked before, I just wanted to know what all was out there....

I just placed a huge order and saved at least $150 on it!

Does anybody know the answer to my first ? though? I would like to order a CarSound today for the swap, but I need to know what I need as far as size goes. I'm guessing 2.25" inlet/outlet (unless I'm mistaken and the JDM header or thermal are larger in diameter), but overall size I have no clue on?

Thanks in advance if someone knows the answer...

I found this article online stating some improvements Honda made from 4th to 5th gen, here's what they had under exhaust:

By lowering the intake resistance and making an engine that burns efficiently, Honda needed to finish its tuning job by allowing for the exhaust to get out smoothly. The exhaust manifold, while retaining its outer diameter, had its opening size increased. The dual-pipe design to follow was made truly cylindrical, (as opposed to oval) and the wall lining was made to 15mm -- decreasing exhaust interference. The catalytic converter was also increased in size, and the exhaust piping increased from 50.8mm to 57mm. The silencer efficiency was increased from 97 liters/second to 113 liters/second. This completes the improvements made on the air flow efficiency of the Prelude Type S.

So from what the article says, looks like 4th gen is 50.8mm (2 in) and 5th gen is 57mm (almost 2.25in).

Here's the page if you wanna see it.
