b16 tranny wont go into gear please help me!!!!! (did search)
got a huge problem. just put about $2500 full of new parts on the rex. heres my problem, put in a stage 3 clutch on my b16, but the throwout bearing was the wrong one...... so i kept the stock one on there. just went go start it and move it but it wont go in gear at all. it will go in gear when the car is off, but when the car is running........ it feels like the clutch is not disengaging. could the throw out bearing not be heavy enough to disengage the clutch? i really need to get this car moving asap. any help would be great. thanx in advance.
wow lots of problems with trannys lately, theres a couple other threads about tranny with similar problems just look around. alignment/ cable adjustment and so forth just look around and try the cable adjustment .
got a brand new clutch cable. when i did the search, alot said throwout bearing. i really think that since i have a stage 3 clutch and pressure plate, the stock throwout bearing isnt heavy enogh to disengage the stage 3 clutch.

Whoever sold it to you, go back there or email them and politely ask for your money back or for the correct part. They need to pay for the shipping to send you the correct part and they need to pay for the part to be shipped back. It's their fault not your's.

call them this morning. they said it was the right part and thats what he would have sold me. now i was told when i called a couple of shops around that the shaft on the s1 tranny is thinner in diameter than the splines on the clutch disc that i have.(which is 99-00 civic si clutch)

Correct. The 90-91 integra clutch disc is what you need. The b series transmissions from 88-91 have a smaller input shaft than the newer b series transmissions. 92+

what is the name of this company or person?
he's all fucked up.
we need his name so we can avoid him.
let him know that there are hundreds of people online waiting for you to get your money refunded and if it isn't, he will be blacklisted. He probably won't do it, but hey worth a shot.

i'm just finding out that the B series tranny are alot more complex then i thought. Today i foudn a crack in my ys-1 casing. and i'm scouring s.d for a new one. I guess it comes in two parts.....? i thought it slipped one piece of it....i guess not. And no one knows how to handle this question:
"I need a casing for a ys-1 transmission that came out of a 92-93 integra gsr. Do you or do you not have this b series (vtec) transmission casing or not?" and they flip out like i'm speaking some new language......sorry for a thread jack but anyone offer some advice....

hahaha....part out my ys-1! you're crazy...i'll just go buy an ls tranny and then drop that in and then rebuild the ys-1.....that tranny is like 1200$ hehehe...and once you've used that transmission nothing else seems quick enough.

You like to take it IDB?
Ok, what would you do in this situation?

you didnt specify that it was a ys1 with lsd, they make them with and without.
If yours doesnt have the lsd the j1 tranny is much better for acceleration, but not so good for gas mileage or turbo's for that matter.
Either way i dont think your going to find just a case. you will probably have to buy a nother tranny and swap your cuts into it.

see if they will at least work with you somehow, since they did make a blatant mistake.
Full refund is wishful thinking, but just try to get a good discount on the right parts maybe, and hope ot be able to sell the one you're stuck with.
