I am going to cry
So I was out driving with a good friend of mine in the EF. I knew the clutch was acting up but meh it wasn't that bad just no power shifting. So I stop at the stop sign clutch in put it in first to go and then an aweful breaking noise then can't get it to go in any gear. Clutch has no movement I checked under the hood. Pushed her too the side of the road. Now it could be 1 of 3 things. Clutch Cable, Clutch or Tranny. I am hoping it's one of the first 2. If it's the tranny it's going to be expensive and I ain't got the cash flow for that right now
What's the clutch pedal feel like?? If it feels off I would go with the cable, check that first. They do have a tendency to frey and pop, that would explain the noise (hopefully). Otherwise, I would check the clutch, I highly doubt the tranny just flat out broke.
Pedal doesn't goto the floor freely but def. a lot easier going down then it was before. It helps out my dad use to be a mechanic I just have to get him to come check it to be 100% sure once he finish's work. Then find out the cost on it.
I thought the cable was acting up because before that driving it's like it was stretched and sometimes the clutch caught sometimes it didn't so most the time the car was being shifted without the clutch working. I guess it just decided to give out finally. Hopefully thats it.
