!!!Help wiring a GM horn to my prelude, keeps blowing fuses!!!
I searched with no answer. I got a GM horn from a junk yard and am trying to wire it up correctly but I can't get it right for some reason. I got the honda wires (blue and white) and the GM wires (green and black) and a ground spliced in (pos or neg?
) but I have tried every combination and none seem to work but one that I sloped together but when I spliced them it didn't work. SO what colors go to what and where do I connect the ground to (pos or neg) sorry I'm bad at electronics

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing, but I picked up some FIAMM horns instead.
Maybe the GM horns draw more current than the OEM Prelude horns? In that case you may have to run relays.

Hmmmm....I'd say try installing a higher- rated fuse in the box, and see if you can find schematics of a typical GM car the horn would be installed in- it is possible that the new horn is designed to draw more current than the Honda one.
Hmm. Are you sure you didn't cross- wire positive and negative? I'd say to try and trace the wires all the way back. Or again, try and get a hold of a GM schematic. Where is your ground connection spliced into the system?
